There’s so many different ways to volunteer with the ReStore, including volunteering behind the scenes with our online store. Volunteer online store support is a great position for someone who loves technology, is interested in photography, and is curious to discover details about donated products!
You can shop the ReStore Online at shoppdxrestore.org, plus our eBay e-commerce site here. All purchases from the ReStore Online help fund local Habitat homebuilding and home repair programs.
Tasks would include:
- Researching donated items
- Listing & photographing items in our online store
- Assist with processing donated products, monthly inventory counts, and order fulfillment
- Help with general organization
- Might require moving and lifting heavy pieces
- At times, assembling furniture as needed
Location
The volunteer position takes place in our online warehouse. Our ReStore Online warehouse is located at 12413 NE Marx St, Portland, OR (near the PDX airport).
Requirements
- Must complete an orientation at the warehouse
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This volunteer role operates in an open warehouse environment.
- This role is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
- The volunteer will frequently lift, move and/or load large furniture items.
