We are thrilled to announce our “Designing with a Purpose” Series in partnership with Heritage School of Interior Design to bring you an inspiring series that proves great interior design can make a difference.

Each month, we will feature Stephanie Thornton Plymale, CEO and Founder of Heritage School of Interior Design, and one of Portland’s talented interior designers as they create a beautiful space using furniture, décor, and treasures sourced entirely from the ReStore. Along the way, they’ll be sharing practical design tips, shopping strategies, pricing insights, and the incredible savings that can be found at the ReStore all while supporting a meaningful cause.
Each series will feature items exclusively found at that ReStore location. At their end of their visit, there will be a styled vignette on a display for one week. All items will be available for purchase after a week.

For this month, our featured design is the amazing Anajli Miller. Anjali runs her own full-service Interior Design Studio based out of Portland, Oregon. She was born and raised in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Her deep roots with mountain landscape often lead her to design with nature in mind. She’s passionate about supporting local and global artisans and found her love for handcrafted furnishings & decor through her years of traveling the world and living in India.
After 15 years leading Real Estate offices in three states, and dozens of home remodels and flips, Anjali and her family of three settled down in the Pacific Northwest and launched her dream career of an Interior Design Studio.
Shopping & Styling Tips
We’re kicking things off by sharing some fun moments from Anjali’s shopping trip at the Portland ReStore. Interior Designer Anjali shares how she is envisioning mixing the vintage Bombay-style furniture with the gorgeous rug for an entryway design.
Styling the Vignette
Anjali created a truly spectacular space using only furniture, décor, and materials sourced from the Portland ReStore, proving that beautiful, thoughtfully designed homes can be created while supporting an incredible mission. She put together a gorgeous dining room design including dining table, seating, dishware, lighting, and more.
Final Vignette Design
Check out the final dining room vignette design by Anjali Miller! Not only did she transform the space, but she also shared so many inspiring design tips and ideas that anyone can use in their own home. This vignette will be available for purchase on Wednesday, July 29.
