UPDATED- Whew! What a day! Staff at the Portland ReStore had a shocker Friday morning when they discovered part of the ceiling had caved in under flooding. Apparently a space in the building above our store flooded and soaked through The ReStore ceiling tile, creating quite a mess in our tool section and beyond. Luckily, volunteers and staff managed to clean up much of the area and the store reopened shortly after noon. It’s a good thing, too, because we have lots of great items to sell!
The Portland ReStore will continue with our regular hours the remainder of the day and through Saturday, Store Manager Danny Dunn reported. He said only a section of the store will remain off limits until things dry out and damaged ceiling tile can be replaced. Repairs are scheduled for Sunday when the store is normally closed.
