This month’s IRN donation consisted of some beautiful cushioned chairs, several brown and red leather couches, lots of fun retro chairs and stools, and over 150 cool metal employee lockers. Find the lockers at Habitat ReStores in Portland, Beaverton, Gresham and Vancouver. We love them because they are great versatile organizers. You can use them in a guest room, mud room, laundry room, gym, or give one to a student. Some also have keys. ($75).
“We are very happy to be working with Habitat for Humanity Restores in the Portland area. Habitat ReStores have been a great resource for us as our rate of furniture shipments continues to grow. It’s a great relationship because both organizations share a commitment to community and environment, facilitated through reuse.” Dana Draper, IRN COO
About IRN – The Reuse Network
IRN’s corporate mission is to keep usable surplus furniture and equipment out of American landfills, by matching them with nonprofit organizations to be reused where they are desperately needed for disaster and poverty relief, in the U.S. and around the world. Working nationwide with colleges and universities, independent and public schools, hospitals, and corporations, IRN is the largest provider of this service in the United States. Since 2002, IRN has placed more than 80 million pounds of usable surplus for reuse by over 150 nonprofit organizations in the United States and in more than 50 countries in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia, helping to improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and families across the globe.
