There’s nothing quite so wonderful as cozying up to a cup of hot tea and a good mystery–except perhaps when that cuppa comes with a personal appearance by that title’s author.
The Annual Evergreen Habitat for Humanity Women Build Tea is coming up December 5. Here’s a chance to meet Ellie Alexander, Pacific Northwest native and author of the popular Bakeshop Mysteries series. Alexander’s stories take place in Ashland, Oregon where her lead character, bakery owner Jules Capshaw, blends murder and mayhem right along with her favorite muffin recipe. With titles like A Batter of Life and Death, Meet Your Baker, and On Thin Icing, it’s all delicious fun!
Another way to support the Women Build program is to purchase a chance to win a beautiful Michael Nutter bracelet, to be raffled off during at the tea. Only 200 tickets will be sold.
The Evergreen Habitat for Humanity Annual Women Build Tea will be held from 11 am to 1 pm, Saturday, December 5 at the historic Fort Vancouver Artillery Barracks, 600 East Hatheway. RSVP by November 27, please.
