Thank you Summerfield Estates for generously donating a variety of furniture, art work, and building materials to the ReStore from their location in King City. Summerfield Estates are an Independent Living community located in the Summerfield neighborhood in King City, OR. They provide a safe and secure community where citizens over the age of 55 can continue their life pursuits and their independence. They offer restaurant style dining, daily activities, and outings for our residents. Plus, they have a great partnership with the Summerfield Clubhouse, where their residents can enjoy additional activities, swimming, and golf.
Brian Hodson, the Executive Director, has worked closely with Habitat for Humanity over the years.
“I have found the ReStores to be a great place to shop for gently used items. We did not have the time nor space to hold a ‘garage sale’. We were hoping that some of the items could be sold to assist Habitat further assist families reach their goal of homeownership.”

After the Summerfield Estates community went through a remodel back in the spring, there was a lot of furniture and home decor that had to be replaced. Instead of throwing it into a dumpster or having it hauled away, they placed a call to Habitat.
“The ReStore team was great! They arrived on scene, took an inventory of what they could take and what may not be suitable. They reached out immediately for scheduling a series of pickups. Very easy and accessible. I would highly encourage other businesses to donate. It’s easy. It supports a great cause, and enables home items to get a further use out of them.”
Thank you Summerfield Estates for this donation! Your support helps keep reusable materials out of the landfill while making a direct impact in our community.
